At this weekend's Oregon Days workshop in Cottage Grove, I was once again struck with PRIDE in the members of Oregon Spirit Chorus.  Every faculty member (Julie Starr, Angela Suraci, Cyndi Sharp, Kathy Triolo) mentioned, independently and with absolutely no prompting, that they were VERY IMPRESSED with the HUGE AMOUNT OF TALENT IN MY CHORUS!   I feel like a proud mamma!

OSC Members who attended were:  Elaine Rosenberg, Diane Watson, Lynne Rice, Cindy Meyers, Sasanna Botieff, Laurie Burk, Karlene Hancock, Norine Ask, Karen Wildman.

I've asked each of them to share a favorite moment or lesson learned or something new they want to try at OSC.  We'll hear their stories when we're all back together on August 7th.   Here's a list of the classes offered:
  • Learn Arm Waving level classes - Freshmen to Grad Students
  • Using Your Personal Resources
  • The role of the Regional Management Team
  • Reading and Understanding Barbershop Music /  Barbershop Chords
  • Your Role in Membership, Marketing, Recruiting, and Retention
  • Communication Skills for Musical Leaders
  • Membership Coordinators Forum
  • How to Get the Most Out of your Section Rehearsal
  • How to Run an Effective Section Rehearsal
  • Learning and RetainingChoreography
  • Designing and Teaching Choreography for Small Choruses

Let's get EVERYONE there next year; mark the date now:    JULY 19-20, 2019

I miss you all - see you August 7th.  Do the homework needed to KNOW the 3 newest songs, and to be familiar with the new contest uptune lyrics.

Love, Kathy
