Tools and Tips for Ticket Sales

With six weeks to go until our fabulous A Cappella Magic spring show it's time to kick our tickets sales into gear.  We've got 900 seats to fill which means we need 30 members to sell 30 tickets each.  I know most members tend to think just in terms of their own friends and family and go "oh gosh, I can only sell 4 or maybe 8 tickets max.  It's important to sell to those you know, but I'm asking each member to think outside the box.  It's really important for the financial success of our show, but also for the promotion and growth of our chorus that we fill up the Rose Auditorium.

Below is a spreadsheet with Choruses, Choirs, Senior Communities, Churches and Schools in the area that all need to be contacted and invited to our show.  Right now it includes the name of the organization and a link to their website and/or contact information.  All you need to do is choose 5-10 organizations off this list to put your name beside.  Fill in the contact information you find for the organization (this will save us a lot of time in the future) and then take responsibility for calling, emailing and visiting your targets and selling as many tickets as you can.  Just email Elaine if you need more tickets.

A good way to start is to:
  1. Find an email and send a copy of our flyer (download below) and a YouTube link to Touché to be posted or distributed throughout the organization.
  2. Follow with a phone call to confirm they received the information and see if there is a good time for you to stop by with tickets.
  3. Visit the organization with color copies of the show poster and tickets and then sell, sell, sell.

This list is definitely not all inclusive and you're welcome to add more organizations anytime!  

Also, don't forget to put up posters everywhere you go (Doctor, Salon, Gym, Coffee Shop, Grocery Store, etc)
